Have you ever felt as if you desperately need something to come through for you and if it does not, you have no other option? I’m certain that almost all of us have been in this position, where your back is against the wall and there is no where else to turn.

Psalm 25 is life!

Verses 1-3 says:

“Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.”

This gives a picture of someone who is literally leaning completely upon the Lord, with no alternative pillar. You can only lean on something or someone if you have the confidence in their ability to hold you up, prop you up and keep you from falling.

Often times we have back up plans, just in case things do not go as we originally intended it to. We have been taught to always have a plan B. Unfortunately for the ‘B’ planners, it cannot work that way with God; with Him, it is ALL of your trust or NONE of it. Having a plan ‘B’ with God says that “I don’t fully trust You so I’ve got my own back, just in case You fail me. With that mindset, we are assured that we cannot expect to receive anything from the Lord. (James 1:6-7)

Father, I commit my fears to you today. I purpose to trust You fully in everything and I confess that You have my ALL. Help me to believe You in all things, in Jesus name, AMEN.

  1. This is some good stuff. Really love the read. I’ve been a “B” planner for a long time. God is teaching me to trust Him completely. This really blessed me!
