Evening Pop Up

What can I say, it’s been a hard few days. I’ve been in agonizing back pain for days now and have not been able to get much writing done because it hurts to sit and it hurts to write, and type. So instead of continuing with our discussion on leadership today, let’s digress a bit.

I would like to encourage someone who may be experiencing pain and discomfort, be it physical or emotional. I know it is hard to see through pain, it is hard to be positive. It is hard even to believe that the pain will end. It’s a torment and a distraction. Those who love you will tell you to look past the pain, push past the pain and while this is what you should do, it is easier said.

Pain can make you irrational. This is one of the reasons why it is important to be surrounded by those who can help you put things into proper perspective in those times. Be grateful for these people. What they may say to you may not always be what you want to hear but it puts you in a position to make good decisions while you ache.

Painful moments are also the opportune time for you to reach out to Holy Spirit. Not only is He healer, He is comforter.

So, let us pray

Father I am grateful that You do not leave me in moments of pain and discomfort. I pray that You will comfort and strengthen me and give me the grace to stand in the midst of trial. Lord Your word says that the chastisement of my peace was upon You. Therefore I speak peace to my mind, soul, body and emotions in Jesus’ name. I take this moment to reach out to You Holy Spirit, giving You thanks in all things and for all things. I believe according to Romans8:28 that You are working out all things for my good, because I love You and I am called according to Your purpose. I pray in Jesus name, Amen!
